Leonard Peltier, an activist with the American Indian Movement, has been in prison since 1976 – now 47 years. He allegedly shot and killed two FBI agents. The essential testimony later turned out to be false. To his supporters, Peltier is a political prisoner. On his 79th birthday, indigenous activists and others demanded his pardon.
